Revelstoke Crossing is a comprehensive mixed use development on the Trans Canada Highway in Revelstoke, British Columbia. Revelstoke Crossing will provide accommodations, dining and complementary facilities to both destination visitors and casual travelers alike. Located at one of the only two signalized intersections on the Trans Canada Highway in Revelstoke these sites assure that your business will be seen by not only the local community but by everyone traveling between Calgary and Vancouver. This unique and fully entitled location is the only site between Golden (90 miles to the east) and Salmon Arm (60 miles to the west) that provides the high visibility and year round traffic required for the successful development of multiple hotels and restaurants.
The new Revelstoke Mountain Resort is located in the southern part of the city less than ten minutes drive from the Trans Canada Highway and the downtown Revelstoke heritage area. The new mega-ski area will eventually contain more skiing terrain than Vail or Whistler and already boasts the highest vertical descent of any ski area in North America at 1,713 meters (5,620 feet) with a single run of 15.2 km (9.3 miles) www.revelstokemountainresort.com . Until the opening of the ski resort the summers were the busy tourist season but now Revelstoke has an active winter ski season. The conceptual plan shown here is but one of a number of possible building plans that could be developed within the allowable zoning entitlements for CD-9. This conceptual plan provides for a total of 324 hotel rooms, one fast food restaurant and one casual dining restaurant. Current zoning allows for high density development in both the CD-9 commercial area (12.2 acres) and the CD-12 residential area (5.8 acres). All known development issues have been finalized and the site is ready for construction after submission of the standard Development Application and issuance of a Building Permit.
